That View and The Hallway

The view from the end of our Avenue is really beautiful and people often stroll down and stand and talk whilst looking out to sea,i love this as i am getting to know familiar faces in our little town which will be good for when we move this Summer...i think i might serve tea and scones to passers by when we move in.....it could be cute..... 'Shingle Cottage Tea Rooms'?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To have Shingle Cottage and the sea view makes all the hard work on a weekend worthwhile......
Stood under my garden arch by the garden gate this is the sea view to the right looking over my neighbors walled garden.
Do you see the telegraph pole in the middle? you have no idea how hard it is for me not to sneek out after dark and paint it WHITE!
Below our garden fence and arch phase one...
Phase two last weekend as it is now with lavender planted all along and Steve's hand made gate and palins...we are planting  a traditional English cottage garden with lots of colour and with as many flowers as we can here in the front garden....
Going out of the garden gate and walking past my neighbors walled garden  you come to this  lawn ......
When you walk to the end you are greeted with this view of the sea below.....with us being a hop skip and a jump away you can hear the waves crashing to shore in the garden at Shingle Cottage...
Shingle Cottage below from the back garden taken  last year....a lot of work to be done still but we just keep working away and she gets a little better every week........later we will cover the outside in cedar shingles...
During our planking of the walls.......the doors were sent away to be dipped and stripped and we are fitting them with plain glass.....
I ♥love♥ our hallway it looks so much brighter and what i think you would expect  to see when in a Shingle Cottage at the beach....
Last week Steve was digging new drains when he was stumped by a rather large tree trunk,it finally came out after much digging and chopping.....
We are going to Shingle Cottage in the morning for Easter weekend and we will be spending our time digging a trench and fitting the new drains and building and painting some more of the bathroom.
Have a wonderful Happy Easter  weekend where ever you are and what ever you are up to!
See you next week with more goings on from  Shingle Cottage....
  2. Ohhhhh my goodness, the hall is transformed! It's just like a sweet little beach cottage hall! And just think how wonderful it's going to be with all that lavender growing along the charming little fence. What a dream come true... I'm having such fun watching it all happen...
