Just A Note...

A time for lamp light and plumes of smoke,
And cozy fires that we can stoke.
A time for crumbles so sticky and sweet,
A time to draw curtains early and put up our feet.

Just a little note to say Happy October....

  2. Happy October to you! :) I LOVE this time of the year -- such a colorful and cozy season.

I really enjoy reading your blog and your pictures are just lovely! My husband and I live in the southeastern U.S., and I'm a serious Anglophile. :) I visited England with my husband in 1999 when he was there on business, and I would so love to visit again. I look forward to your account of life in the English countryside, and especially the beautiful images you share.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Hugs,

    Denise

  6. Oh how charming and perfectly lovely! I so long to live in a sweet and cozy cottage by the sea, alas, I fear that is not in my future. I will have to be content to simply enjoy your posts and daydream of puttering around in your delightful home and gardens all while sipping on a nice cup of tea.

  7. Rabbit! Lovely poem, the air is soft and slightly hazy, a perfect Autumnal day. The Vine Maples are a bright Crimson and fog hangs on in the morning. Turned the heat on for a few minutes and felt all cozy. Xxxxxx

  12. I love your kitchen and the way you have those pretty dishes displayed on the plate rack.
How nice it would be to have a real fire going in my converted gas fireplace. The crackling fire I miss. Sweet rhyme too.
